We believe in a Fair Go.

Artisanal making of craft involves techniques such as weaving, knitting, embroidery and other forms of needlework, to create intricate and unique products. The process of creating these items is often labor-intensive and requires a high level of skill and attention to detail.

Artisans may spend hours, days, or even weeks carefully crafting each piece using traditional methods passed down through generations. Whether it's a quilt made of patchwork, a tapestry woven on a loom or a hand-stitched piece of embroidery, each product is a work of crafted art making each item unique. It reflects the artisan's dedication to their craft and their commitment to creating sustainable, Fair Trade products that support their local communities.

About Fair Go Trading

Established in 2004, Fair Go Trading continues to work with Fair Trade groups -  now for almost 20 years. We have brought to market thousands of handmade artisan products to Australia and New Zealand, supporting artisan families in developing nations.

We also work with like-minded businesses in Australia and New Zealand who support our Fair Trade efforts.

Our collaboration with dozens of Fair Trade groups and organizations worldwide have given us a lot of valuable experience and also a lot of enriching experiences.  As a social enterprise, our goal is to the benefit all who work with us - both locally in Australia and New Zealand and our artisan partners overseas.

Our team comprises designers, product developers and buyers of Fair Trade. Our collaborations with customers and colleagues helps our work with custom designs, product development and market trends.

Fair Go Trading - Our Products

We source contemporary Fair Trade and eco-sustainable products through a transparent supply chain, providing positive benefits to all who join us in our work.  Fair Go Trading strives to create change, through product sourcing and development, capacity building of ourselves and our artisans overseas.

We believe in community engagement and advocacy. Our company practice has a commitment to sustainability.  Our Fair Go Trading branded products involves a focus on natural fibres - hemp, jute, cotton, alpaca, hogla (seagrass) and rattan. We like the mix of natural & colour.

Products in our homewares and garden categories include tableware, functional storage baskets, washing and laundry baskets, pot plant covers, wall hangings, floor and hanging basketry and DIY crafting materials.  We also focus on plastic and aluminium alternatives, products that are more robust, including kitchen steel serving sets, hand-painted storage canisters, steel drinking tumblers and jugs.  Our garden range include upcycled iron garden bells and chimes, interior and exterior pot plant stands and accessories - like garden water jugs.

OUR ADVOCACY WORK

We produce material and resources providing in-depth knowledge on the processes behind our work. We do this through online resource development, advocacy via the production of events and by attending: state, national and international conferences and programs.

We subscribe to the 10 Principles of Fair Trade and we love our work.  We regularly visit producer groups and communities, are proactive in the local Fair Trade community and work within compliance programs to keep true to the 10 Principles of Fair Trade.

We are members of the Fair Trade Association of Australia and New Zealand and the Western Australia Fair Trade Collective. We regularly attend the World Fair Trade conferences and programs of work.
